Hello, I'm Geraldine Moses. Welcome to this programon juvenile idiopathic arthritis al guideline for diagnosisand management. The program is one of four in a newmusculoskeletal guideline series. These guidelines,for general practitioners and otherprimary healthcare professionals, have been developedby the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
and approved by the National Healthand Medical Research Council. Because of the relatively low prevalenceof JIA in the general population, GPs often have little experiencewith this diagnosis. The guidelines have developed,therefore, to fill that gap, and reflect the current evidencebasedapproach to managing children with JIA. This program will coverthe recommendations for the early and accurate diagnosisand multidisciplinary management of JIA in the primarycare setting.
