I wanna show you the11 things to eliminate, eradicate and destroy from your life and I also wanna show you 23remedies that can help inflammation when it
sets in but first we have to understand thetwo primary pathways for your body to heal inflammation on its own. Get the primary andyou have the secondary pathway to eliminate it. So if we help the body with the primarypathway of detoxification, of giving it the right foods, of eliminating the bad thingsthen that secondary response doesn't kick on. You start to feel better. So let's talkabout the 11 things to eliminate and cut back on righté Some of these are gonna be prettyhard to eliminate right away and I get that but to cut back on to help with that primarypathway of getting rid of inflammation on the body. Number one, processed food. Youheard me talk about it. Sugar, dairy, wheat.
If you are in a polluted area make sure youget an air purifier to clean your house. Smoking, ugh! Not good for inflammation at all. Ifyou're smoking and you're taking pain killers at the same time, double bad okayéDon't be doing that stuff or at least try to eliminate it slowly okayé Alcohol, transfats, omega 6's, fatty acids, MSG and sleep. Very powerfulstuff. And then gut health righté Inflammation
starts in the gut with the food that we eat.80% of our immune system is in the gut so that's why you wanna eat the foods likewe talked about on last week's Saturday Strategy that are loaded with probiotics.Prebiotics, things to stimulate that immune system and help you heal. Antiinflammatory diets and Autoimmune Diseases
I am Christopher Thoma, Chiropractic Physician,at Total Health Correction. And over the last couple weeks I have had a number of correspondence, asking about Autoimmune diseases, such as Hashimoto's, RA, Lupus, AntiKU and autoimmune Hepatitis. And all these individuals have one thing in common, they have an antibodythat has begun to attack itself. And many individuals ask me, why do this happen orwhere do they start até And typically most of our immune system is built from our interactionwith the items that we have in our gut. Whether it be the bacteria, whether that be the food, that is our main exposure. Our immune system is said to be the largest around the gut, that's where basically things that have
attacked us tend to come from. Our skin doesa very good job with the acid layer and things around it to protect us there. But our gutis really protected by our immune system. Therefore, when you eat something, let'ssay wheat for instance, and that wheat gets to your gut. If any of those particles areable to pass through your gut undigested, your body sees it as a foreign invader andtherefore will attack it. In the instance of wheat, the protein that is most acceptableto be intact is gliadin. That gliadin protein once attacked and your body creates anti bodiesto it, is then seem indifferent from thyroid and so a number of individuals that have Hashimoto'swho also have a gliadin sensitivity, so therefore
people that are sensitive to wheat may havea thyroid problem. People with thyroid problems may have a sensitivity to wheat. This alsogoes into effect with other disease such as the AntiKU and autoimmune hepatitis. In anyof those, the inflammation around the gut influences the inflammation that you are havingdue to the autoantibody. So where the medical community will give steroidsor even some of the newer drugs that will lower your immune system and keep you frombasically attacking yourself. The way that we take the approach in functional medicineis by taking an antiinflammatory diet along with proper supplementation for your issue. This reduces the inflammation, which reduces
the inappropriate antibody response, thereforeputting the autoantibodies in remission. We don't necessarily get rid of them. Theyare there for life. It is the same with the medical community, they don't get rid ofthese autoantibodies, they are just repressing them. The problem is and the medical communityusing steroids and that drugs they do, they also repress your immune system. When thishappens you are more susceptible to disease in getting sick and even cancers. So our approachis not to depress the immune system but rather decrease the inflammation, therefore givingyou a way to put your autoimmune system into remission so that you are not attacking yourselfand making you healthier and giving you a
healthier lifestyle. If you have any questionsplease contact me at totalhealthcorrection or give me a call at the office.
